I started the Gridworkers course, and am really enjoying it. I appreciate your perspective so much. I must tell you, I couldn't resist skipping ahead to the Birds as Gridworkers Bonus. I've had this lifelong passion for bird life and spend a lot of time looking at, listening to, and communing with the birds! i agree that they are angelic communicators and help to weave balance into the grid with their beautiful songs and flight patterns. And there are more than 10,000 species of birds on our Gaia! You are blessed to be in the Pacific Northwest near the rainforest. You mentioned in the video that you would like to get a field guide to get to know your local avian friends a little better. That is so great!! You may already know about these apps, but in addition to the wonderful field guides available there are also apps you can use on your phone, like through Audubon and Merlin Birds ID. They are free. I love the new feature on Merlin with sound. You can simply record the sounds you are hearing and the app will show you who is singing. For someone like me who learned little by little in the field, it feels a bit like cheating, but it's not! It actually really helps learning. So often they are in the treetops and hard to glimpse even with binoculars, but you can hear them and identify them by sound, thus making a conscious and loving connection with these amazing beings.
